BSS New Building, ETH Zurich, Basel

ETH Zürich’s Biosystems Science and Engineering Department (D-BSSE) is being developed on the Schällemätteli site in Basel. The building, with a compact and clearly defined structure, will contain office and laboratory spaces, clean rooms, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) rooms and a cafeteria, over approx. 37,000m2 (ground floor, eight upper floors and two basement levels). The sustainability goals defined in the SIA 112/1 regulations serve as planning and realisation guidance.
