Kaeng Krachan Elephant Park, Zoo Zürich

New compound for the Asiatic elephants at Zurich Zoo, with outside and inside areas covered by an undulating, freeform timber shell with skylights. The roof is an outstanding architectural feature.
All necessary functions are contained under the roof. Visitors can observe the animals from a path inside the compound including underwater views into a pool.
