Roche Research Centre pRED, Basel

F. Hoffmann-La Roche’s new research centre pRED (Pharma Research and Early Development) will be spread over several buildings. A conference building (Building 4), an office block (5), two large laboratory buildings (6 and 7) and a combined basement and underground garage will replace the former Building 74 office complex. The heights will range from 18m to 114m. The buildings are being designed together with Roche’s Research and Development organisations, ensuring that they conform to the scientists’ requirements as far as possible. The approx. 950 office and 800 laboratory places will be equipped according to the latest technological standards. The pRED research centre will enable optimal communication between the research employees and strengthen their collaboration.
